Never would trade it in... Ones of the best Rolex purchases I made.

I swapped mine for a Datejust. The reason being, I hardly ever wore it, because whenever I wanted a grab and go watch, my ND Sub seemed to always fit the bill. I’d look at the SD, and the ND in the box, and 9 time out of 10 the SD43 would be passed by.

Looking back at my photos I never had a single wrist shot of the SD, and I’ve got loads of pics of my other watches.

The SD43 is a great watch, it just wasn’t for me

No regrets

Not a chance. I bought it on a whim and had intense buyers remorse after. Since that time I sold off everything in my collection in a total revamp and the SD43 was the only one to survive. You know you love a watch when you justify wearing it in place of others that make more sense in the situation.

No way will I ever get rid of my SD43. It will be given to my daughter many years from now.

Already did. If Rolex comes out with SD43 without the cyclop then I'll buy another then. Until then, I enjoy my 40 mm SD's

Will I get rid of it for something else? - No, its too much fun to wear.

Will it get less wrist time as other things come and go? - Yes

Yes and Did. I blame this on my brother for (and me for helping him find it) getting the newly redesigned DSSD Deep Blue. After I sized it for him and wore it for a couple hours I new that all that had annoyed me about my original DSSD I'd owned for about 6 years had been addressed and it was the one for me. I got the black dial version last week. Zero regrets, wearing it today... I don't hate the cyclops on the SD43, but I think it scratches the itch for the guy that wants a sub in a larger case. I have a sub. The DSSD is a completely different watch in my opinion.

Unless I lose a ton of weight and my wrist diameter drops by and inch, I'm planning on keeping my SD43 for the duration. It's just a gorgeous watch and the move up to the 22mm bracelet makes it near perfect. I've never been fond of 20mm bracelets on sports watches.
