I don’t understand why no one is competing with those guys. How can they justify such fees?

Of course there are competitors. I think you'd get a way better rate on a modern watch like this from the gray dealers.

From my experience in auctions the realized price never includes BP they apply that on the invoice after. And I did personally watch the bids climb online from $40k to $52k.

52k includes buyer premium. Read the disclosure on their site

Agree! Every grey dealer is a competitor but almost everyone aims to make 20%. Seems to me dealers don’t make that on popular watches... it is odd that people would consign something like 5711 to auction

As I have posted in the past, there have been several 5711 & 5712 that have sold at or near record prices. Following the auctions as I do, most all these lots are "like new" condition. As I compare them with offers of the same Ref by dealers, the dealer watches fall a bit short on condition.
