Rolex Movement/Caliber 1556 ???

Is there a consensus on the quality and reliability, ease of repair, maintenance and so on regarding the Rolex 1556 movement?? I found a model 1803 that has this movement, and I rarely see this. Are there any experienced technical opinions out there about this ??? REally baffled about this...so any info appreciated....thanks TRF.0

The caliber 1556 is a fantastic movement. Its derived from the same basic 15xx series movement found some of the most iconic watches Rolex made at the time. The Sub 5513 5513 1680 GMT Master 1675 McQueen Explorer 1655 Sea Dweller 1665 Explorer 1016 the list goes on. All these movements 1520, 1530, 1560, 1556, 1570, 1575 are all derivatives on the same basic 15xx movement and share 99% of the same parts.

All work done in the good ol’ U.S. of A.
