Icon2 Which Dial Yachtmaster - SS/RG black dial or SS with Rhodium dial?

Hey all,

I'm looking at buying a new Yachtmaster.

I'm narrowed down to two totally different combinations.

Two-tone Rose gold with matte black dial (new 2017 release).

-or-

All stainless steel with Rhodium dial.

Which would you choose? Any pictures are appreciated!

stainless steel with Rhodium dial is very elegant yet sporty. Platinum is more durable then gold so the bezel holds up better with the SS YM

I was wanting a 116621 chocolate dial for a long while even though I had a 116622 Rhodium. After the CHNR came out I lost favour for the YM. I just am not fond of the rose gold bezel anymore. The grail, 116655 YM is now in my sights instead.

I don't regret the Rhodium in the least

I don't envy you on that decision. They are both stunning. My wife choose the Rhodium ice blue as it was the color scheme she wanted. If in the market for a slightly darker option, the RG is amazing too.

I just saw the RG TT version. It's very nice, but I think I would get tired of all that RG in the bezel. I believe I would go with the steel version.

I have the 116621 and love it. Wear it every day in rotation with subc. Gets a lot of compliments.

I chose the TT RG Black Dial and enjoy everything about it. The Sub was the magnet that got me interested in Rolex but I’ve always been drawn to the YM because of the smaller size compared to the Sub.

No pictures because pictures do nothing to show how good it really looks, must be seen in real life. Check you private message for a link to a review with the best photos I have seen for the YM 116621

I would choose the rhodium dial if I had to choose between these two. Otherweise I prefer the blue dial for the Yachtmaster.
