The white stands out more, I had a polar and sold it. Now I have a black dialed E2 and it's the perfect 'under the radar' travel watch.

White. I also like the black but haven’t bought it yet.

Polar is the most practical warch in Rolex lineup. You can do anything with it and it has excellent movement. Among my watches it is also the most accurate one after my Day-Date 40.

I had it on my wrist in many situations, latest during jetski ’accident’ and nothing happened.

Exploer II - White or Black Dial?

Black. When I bought mine the AD lady said that many who bought white dails, returned them after a few years.

The explorer II has really grown on me. I love the polar, though the hands on the black model are my fav. I wish there was a model with both.

That’s a pretty sharp combo.

I went white.

I had no interest in the black dial when choosing mine.

Both are nice so flip a coin.

White dial version has painted (black) hands.

For this reason alone, get the black (matte) with white gold hands!

I think the white is what you really need in terms of visuals, imo the white dial gives a more clearer view.

Black dial. The Milgauss with white dial looks better than the Milgauss black dial though
