Skin Tone - RG vs YG DD 40
Happy Saturday guys!
I am in the process of buying a DD 40 and have a question for y’all on the forum. I always was attracted to the rose gold color as it was a little more understated compared to YG, however, I am one of those folks that get super tan in the summer and pale in the winter. I am curious whether when making the choice between YG send RG people have taken into account skin tone? Which is best for which? I am more or less set on YG, champagne w/ romans but my heart tells me RG Green/ Romans. |

sounds like you really want the RG olive. personally, i would just ignore skin tone in this situation and go with what you really want. both models are great and you can't go wrong with either though

Maybe get both.
Then you can make a conclusive decision. It may be best to be able to alternate as required. |

If your skin get super tan YG works better.
I personally think RG doesnt look that good on darker complexions. |

I would buy what you like and forget about your complexion. Believe me no one will notice if they see you have a real Rolex DD 40.

My first DD40 was a RG one. Actually my first 2 where. LOL
What I strongly recommend is you try on the YG one. I strongly feel that a first DD should be YG. That is the iconic model and will never fade in style or value. |

I posed nearly the exact same question a few months back. I always thought the RG DD40 was more attractive, but because of my tan skin, I thought it might blend a bit too much, so was kind of forcing myself to like the YG more.
In the end, the right watch won out, as I just purchased a RG DD40 with chocolate Romans. Haven't posted pics yet, but will soon!

Rose Gold for those who cannot get tan, yellow gold for those who can. Just my two cents.

Nope. Only wanted Everose as soon as I saw it. Brown face, too. Debated between sticks and Romans but ended up with sticks because I like the lume. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
