Wikipedia has some interesting info about Psmith and D'Oyly Carte. I don't know whether Wodehouse or D'Oyly Carte were Rolex aficionados, but it would be nice to think so...

Cheers

That's a toughie...
If you especially like gold, then Blusey would probably be the way to go. Also, the current model's days are numbered, so better to pick up a new one sooner rather than later.

Personally, I am (as you may have detected) a big fan of the Exp II. This version may also be changed in the next year or two, but as usual with Rolex these things are never certain until they happen.

I would visit an AD to try them both on - see which one "smiles" on your wrist. Taking a friend can sometimes help... and sometimes add to the confusion if he/she has a different opinion...

Good luck

Cheers

PS: this may not help much, but I remember my purchasing criteria back in the mid-'90s as being along the lines of "Wow, cool - a Rolex with "Explorer" written on the dial"
At the time, this just pipped the Submariner and Sea-Dweller in the romantic imagery stakes ...although I remember being sorely tempted by the SD...

Hope this, errr... helps

Cheers

Does the V-serial Exp II still have hollow center links?

Super, super sweet and it fits in with the rest of the family too. The EXII was my first Rolex, it was tough as nails. Enjoy
