What to do, 116520 Daytona black dial?

Hi all, unique problem. I have 3 watches (Hulk, Batman & the Daytona). I don't like wearing the Daytona. Its not easy to read and doesn't have a date. Honestly, I just don't appreciate it. I've worn it maybe twice in the last couple of months just out of guilt. I dont have a nice "dress watch" so that's the one I use when I rarely do dress up. I know it sounds stupid but Im afraid Id regret selling it since they are so darn hard to come by. I know many of you have been in a similar situation. Do you think Ill regret it or won't ever think about it again after it's gone?

Do you think you’d regret it because it’s so desirable? The Hulk and Batman are desirable too, and you have them, so I wouldn’t focus on the rarity aspect. Sell it, buy a Cellini moonphase for formal occasions, and move on brother.

As much as I say dont let pieces go... if you have no desire to wear it, get something that you will.

How would you regret it when you just said you don't like wearing it? What would be the point of having it?

As soon as I make the decision that I’m not wearing something, I get rid of it right away. I literally parted with my 15400 a day after I realized I couldn’t live with it anymore.

Who cares if it's difficult to come by if you don't like it? Time to move on.

Why not put it away for another three months as a test. If you don’t think about it or miss it at all, then you might as well sell after that time. Sort of a last chance experiment so you’re 100% sure.

I felt the same way for the same reasons about my white 116520, and I went back and forth on whether or not to flip it for almost a year... I ended up trading it for a new Explorer and an original 16710 Pepsi w/ SEL’s and lug holes, & I haven’t looked back... I simply didn’t want to keep a watch that I didn’t enjoy wearing, and I absolutely love the pieces that I got in its place.

♛- Yet to be determined, but a white 16520 is on the short list. (I believe that I'll be able to read it better than my old 116520)

If you dont like it get rid of it. Sell high and let someone who does love it get a chance at it and then get a watch that sings to you.

What everyone else said - if you don't like it, lump it.

I had a blue SkyD which just didn't do it for me in terms of wearability (wrist fatigue, busy dial). Also had an SD 43 which I found too big. Sold both off - no regrets.

Like someone else mentioned - life's too short and already has enough going on to worry about letting go of certain watches. Enjoy it while it lasts! :)

Very simple if you don't wear it sell it and buy something you will wear.

Sell it, get a nice Datejust fluted bezel maybe in classic two tone for dressier occasions.

Thanks all! That really did help, she's soon on the way to a new home I hope. I never understood how people could ask for this kind of help on here but it did make my decision for me. Thanks again!
