Hi Folks
Just browsing the web and noticing tudor watches with Mercedes hands, I thought they had the snowflake hands as standard?
Can anyone explain

Thanks

I think they had Mercedes hands from the mid eighties to the mid nineties. So much better IMHO. The diamond/snowflake hand I find hard to warm to.

Vintage Tudor Subs came with Mercedes, Snowflake, and Lolipop hands, depending on the reference.

The Mercedes hands were first used by Rolex on 1930s dress watches. French navy divers in the 1960s found them too small and illegible for diving, so they and Tudor developed the Snowflake hand, to be more practical for diving. They're still more legible than their Rolex counterparts, especially under water.
