Yellow gold GMT/116718 owners, does this look right?

Looking at a potential watch from a pretty trusted seller elsewhere. What struck me about the pics is the case being polished.

I swear the front of the case is supposed to be brushed and not polished......that the center link was the only polished part.

I know sometimes people, as a matter of personal preference, get the brushed areas polished and vice versa depending on personal taste. Is that seemingly what has happened here....or am I mistaken?

The first pic is what the seller sent me....the second is a random wrist shot I pulled off the forum where that area looks non-polished.

That looks terrible and I would stay far away. It should be brushed minus the center links and the side of the case. They definitely polished it and I would not buy that example.

As others have pointed out, that is not proper finish for the 116718.

The brushing on the bracelet looks rough and amateurish, also.

Horrible bracelet = attempted to brush with what? 80 grit paper, lol. Its still worth its weight in gold = if it really is!

Mid case is butchered just like the bracelet as others have stated.

The piece is not worthy and is scrap gold now. Would cost a fortune to restore it.

Agreed, the initial thing that made me look twice was the brushed bracelet....it looked too textured/brushed in other pics he displayed. That was when I noticed the case. I knew the Datejust has the front of the case polished....but I have a SS GMT and I know mine wasn't polished there.
