I bought a DJII Blue stick dial with smooth bezel the day my son was born and I got both our names put on the card at the AD.
That's one I would really hate to have to part with because I plan to pass it onto him some day when he's older. Hopefully he'll have lots of fond memories of me wearing it when I do give it to him so he looks after it and maybe some day passes it down himself. That's my own little hope for it anyway. My first Rolex, gifted to me as a graduation present and has been with me through thick and thin for over 20 years, worn on most special days of my life. And my Dad’s DD he had it for over 40 years and became mine when passed away, the watch turned 50 in 2018.

Definitely my milgauss, I bought it on my honeymoon in Las Vegas after wanting a Rolex for years but struggling to justify the expense. I went for it and am so glad I did - it’s great to have a story to go along with my first.
Enjoyed reading this thread...Keep them coming guys |

My LVc. Bought on the morning of my wedding day as a present to my wife (I do get to use it, thankfully). We got it engraved with our daughters name and time she was born as well. Will be handing it to her when she is 21.

My 15053 OP Date. My parents gave me this when I graduated from university. I wore it for everything for years and beat the heck out of it. I took it to RSC Toronto about a year ago and had it serviced and a new bracelet put on. It’s 30 years old last month.

My 16610 given to me during Christmas 1999 by my mother. Had it on when I got married, honeymoon, birth of my son, and during some difficult times as well.

I picked up this BB a couple of days after the doctors completed the fourth procedure necessary to open up 2 arteries.
FYI, I ran 4 miles with one of the dogs this morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Up until this year, I would have said my Sub 1680 that I purchased when I was eighteen; but this year I received a gift from a friend after his passing. A letter from a lawyer stated that I was given a Rolex 1803 DD in memory of of a great friendship (and the fact that I was crazy about his watch since my early teenage years). Currently, the watch is at the Dallas Rolex Repair Center for service.

My most sentimentally significant would be great grandfather's 120 year old pocket watch and the medal attached to it. He lived from 1852-1932 so I obviously never met him, and he purchased the watch in 1898. It's still is as accurate as my GMT and Sub. I had it serviced eight years ago and the watchmaker commented that my great grandfather's name was embossed in gold on the movement, which he informed me that was extremely rare.
Attached to it on a chain is one of my grandfather's medals he received from his time serving in WWI. Below his name the medal reads, "FROM THE MOTHERS OF THE 32ND DIVISION IN APPRECIATION OF HEROISM AND SACRIFICE - JUNE 6TH, 1919." I still have a few memories of my grandpa, which is shocking because he died 2 days after my 3rd birthday in 1974. I was able to retire at 46 and my wife gifted me a BLNR to commemorate it so I don't forsee me selling that either, but watches have come and gone over the years so you never know, but there's zero chance that pocket watch will be leaving my family as long as I'm vertical and above ground. |

My wife gifted me a 16220 in 1990 on my 30th birthday and our one year anniversary. We didn't have that kind of money to spend on a watch in those days (about $2k-ish?) so she paid for it in installments (not credit, she wanted it paid off before she gave it to me).

Not a valuable piece, just a cheap pocket watch.... But the engraving means a great deal
