Most Sentimentally Significant Piece

The day my daughter was born, my wife gifted me my first modern six digit Rolex. It was a 116710LN and I have since taken it all over the world with me. Anytime I’m away from home traveling it is on my wrist.




What is the piece you most cherish for sentimental reasons?

Nice one OP, but my most sentimental is not any of my Rolex’, but its my grandfathers Gruen that he wore everyday of his life and was gifted to me when he died. My grandmother gave it to him on their first Christmas together after being married. I recently had it gently restored and have worn it to a few black tie events.

Right one was a gift from my wife for making Partner at a major management consulting firm.

When Rolex announced the 50th anniversary Seadweller commemorating the original 1967 model, I knew I had to have one. I turned 50 in the same year.

Also, the classic James Bond Submariner won here on TRF with my lucky 3 ... a day I'll never forget

My Speedmaster Professional 145-022 gifted to me by my parents while in college.

Even though I love my Rolex Sport models, this here is the one that started it all. Wedding gift from my in laws and I wore it on my wedding day. My only Rolex that was purchased new from an AD with my name on the card and it makes it very special.

It was originally purchased with the Oyster PCL bracelet but I sourced a super jubilee for it and now have the best of both worlds. One watch I will never sell, ever.

Love that VC. I was so, so close to purchasing one. I just couldn’t get over the DSSD JC though. Maybe next time around. I really love the three bands that come with the watch and the Gen 3’s have an open case back. Very classy time piece Sir

Mine is definitely my BLNR, I was wearing it when I proposed to my wife and again on our wedding day

I was wearing it when she told me we were expecting our first child and will be wearing it straight through as we get close to delivery so I be wearing it on his or her bitrthday

That's awesome! I bought my BLNR when I received my first Super Lawyer award. I bought my Hulk the next year when I received the same honor. I just bought my third Rolex, a two tone GMT Master II, when I argued my first case before the Illinois Supreme Court (still haven't worn it - it's so beautiful - staring at it now). I am still waiting on a decision on my Supreme Court case, but I will be buying a PM piece when I win. Already told my AD. He keeps checking the Supreme Court's website (lol - I do, too)!

Of course this would be the other one. I could never part with this one. I was wearing it at my wedding and also when I put in my wife’s epidural for the birth of our daughter.
