rene pavot pocket watch

I have an old pocket watch from my father that does not work. I am interested in getting it running, but dont know anything about it. Its missing the stem. Anyway it says rene pavot on the face, and swiss made at the bottom. The inside of the back plate has the following inscribed: ANCRE DE PRECISION BAYLOR WATCH CO SWISS UT 6498 BASE METAL

Does anyone know anything about this watch? I read ont he internet conflicting info, that Baylor was a dallas texas based watch company, and that it was a european jewelery retailer. Not sure if just the movement is swiss made or what. I will pull the back off soon and take some pics. Thanks!
