Icon5 Quick question

Hey everyone,
I am sort of new here and have a quick question about a previously owned Rolex. In 1998 I bought a new Submariner from the local AD. Had the watch 10 years and sold it to a buddy with the box and papers, everything from Rolex that came with it. He had it several years and when he was ready to sell it he asked me if I was interested in buying it back. I passed at the time and it was sold to someone else. I have thought of maybe trying to find it but don't have the S/N. Does Rolex keep a record of first owners when the watch is bought at an AD. The AD I bought it from has been closed for many years. Or, perhaps is there an appropriate forum here to list my info in case someone here has it and wnts to sell.

Thanks in advance, Bret

And as an aside, the retail price for it was 3550.00. Was a huge purchase for me back then.

Rolex don't keep those records.
Your search it like a needle in a haystack I dare say.

I presume your buddy doesn't have a record of who he sold it to? otherwise it's a veeeeeery long shot.

Yeah, it would definitely take a lot of time and resources to try to even trace that.

Good luck bro. I’d love to track down one I sold that had sentimental value. I never should have let it go. I know it’s basically impossible though.
