I see Omega put down a lot here but they do put a priority on the function /legibility, even if it’s not the “top” priority.

Why rolex do not apply anti-reflective coating on their watches?
You don’t have to, especially when the AR is applied on the interior side. Besides, I don’t think AR-coated watches require that frequency of crystal replacement except in cases of extreme abuse. Even when an exterior AR is severely scratched, I would think Rolex has the capacity to remove and replace it without necessitating full crystal replacement. It’s been demonstrated elsewhere that the AR underneath the cyclop can easily be removed by heating.
