Buying a watch listed on Chrono24 vs ebay
I'm looking at a watch which is listed at both formats.
Ebay has paypal and chrono24 has "Buyer protection". Are they equally as safe ? Which one costs the dealer less (assuming some of those savings will be passed on). Thanks. |

As I'm certain you know, "Buy the Seller." Which ever looks best from a sellers perspective that would be the one I'd go with. If it's the same watch and the same seller, contact them and ask which way they'd prefer. I've had pretty good luck using eBay, PayPal, and credit card. It provides three levels of protection.

x2! Unless the dealer has a long proven history, wire transfer of funds provides the buyer no protection. |

X3.......Never bought a watch on ebay, but many other things. ebay protects buyers pretty well, and you have paypal and your credit card for back up as well.

I’ve never used Chrono24. I know nothing of the sellers...and most are out of the US. I can’t see spending too much via that place...

I would always choose Ebay over Chrono24. Neither are perfect but I've heard of some real horror stories when buying through latter. Ebay has good buyers protection. But always buy the seller on either platform.

I bought my Tudor Pelagos from chrono24. My bank was leery to authorize the funds to be sent to c24, but the actual seller lived in my home state. I thought about arranging a face to face purchase, but I just didn't have the time. All went well, and I received the watch in 2 days. I would buy through them again, but probably from only sellers in my country.
