Why I Like My Sub Today

After dinner tonight I went into the Omega boutique next door to try on a few things. I tried on various Planet Oceans, Aqua Terra GMT, and Planet Ocean GMT. I liked the look of some of them. BUT they were much thicker than my Sub and most were larger. The 39.5 Planet Ocean was nice, but it was much thicker and heavier than the 40 Sub. I was surprised at how much heavier the 39.5 PO was than the Sub.

Each time I would put my Sub back on after trying various Omegas, the Sub just felt like home. It is the perfect size and weight, and so comfortable. It took trying on the Omegas to remind me of why I fell in love with the Sub in the first place. It is the perfect dive watch.

The 4 & 5 digit subs are very comfortable & well balanced.

I recently tried on the new Seamaster(stunning), several Breitlings, and a couple DJ41’s and none of them felt as good to me as my Sub. It’s nice to do that now and then to remind yourself that you already own the best dive watch ever.
