I'm also trying to figure out why the day-date isn't doing better. This, tho, is coming from a guy who voted for the Sub because I want a Sub ND like crazy and didn't even bother to see that there was a DD on the poll.....

Apparently, this board is home to very many misguided folks.
Clearly, the best, most elegant, and most universally appropriate Rolex ever designed is the Explorer. |

Personally I'd choose one of the MilSubs but as that's not an option I went for the Sea-Dweller

I would vote for the GMT II but as its not an option I won't vote.
I don't care for the IIC I am sure it will grow on me but it just doesn't do it for me as of yet. I love my SD and DSSD BUT if it can only be one I want the ability to track another time zone (and like the GMT more than the Exp II)

If I were basing my answer on which watch I would buy, well, it would be the Submariner. But if I were to be able to afford any of them, I would likely pick the Day-Date model.

For iconic design it must be the Sub.

Since there's no YM option I went for the DD.

All are great watches but it has to be the Sub since it's probably the most copied design in the world.
