Datejust 16234 Help Please
Hi nice people!
I’ve recently acquired a great little 16234 DJ with a cream Roman dial. I wonder if anyone knows if this was a color offered from the factory or has it patina’d? Also I know that the rehaut is part of the case on a 6 digit but what about the 5’s?. The reason I’m asking is because whoever serviced it at some point has gauged it! I don’t know if you can tell from the picture but I would love to have it replaced. Anyways thanks so much for taking the time to read and respond! |

I can't chime in on if the creme dial is factory, but I will say that it looks beautiful! Congrats!

Looks nice. I'm not sure about the dial. RSC might be able to straiten it out for you.

The ones I know, in Romans, were all white, but have not heard about any patina in any. This was once in the Expl II, and for some period only. I can recall this cream in some ladies', so may be original. The rehaut is the case piece itself. It does not come as a ring that fits. So, no possible change, only repair , if bad, by filling material in. Or, case change.

Well thanks you guys for your input I really appreciate it. I’m going to send it to RSC Toronto because it’s 19 yrs old and I don’t know the history on it so I’ll see what comes from that. Thanks!

Nice looking watch but the damaged rehaut would discourage me. Repairs aren't cheap.
