Two tone lume on Tudor Pelagos LHD
Has anyone ever seen a two tone (blue and green) on a Pelagos LHD?
I had it checked by the AD, the watch is genuine but they have never seen anything like this. The AD consulted Tudor Geneva and they are also clueless (so they say). They want me to send it to them so they can analyse it but won't give me any guarantee that they will leave the bezel as it is. So much for that option...I want to keep it this way. However, I would like very much to find out more about it. It's not a random misstake, the application of the two colors is too specific for that. Please check your Pelagos or let me know if you have heard of this before. Thanks |

That's uber cool. What's your number? It's all green for me. If it's not random then I guess they started doing this recently. It's a fun way of adding nuances to the same model.

I’m hesitant to even post - because the pic I have is way too large to upload - but the lume plots on the dial of my LHD are also slightly different as well - green on the dial, blue on the hands and bezel. Weird, but I know the watch is genuine and I kinda like it, so didn’t think much of it.

Have you had the watch from new?
I have read the lume on the bezel can come out. Is it possible it’s been replaced? Or does it look factory smooth? If it’s been like that from new then someone has purposely done that in the factory (considering the uniformity) which is pretty amusing. Silly question but it’s definitely not a LHD specific thing is it? I’ll check mine but it’s an older eta and pretty sure it’s all blue. Edit... All blue. Forget how beast the lume is on this watch, daytime with hand cupped round it... ![]() ![]() |

I'm wondering if two different people worked on it, or if the numbers are done in a separate step than the markers and/or somehow the lume ran out mid process.
bigger question is how was it not caught when inspected? Definitely keep it. |

I would think this was applied aftermarket. Doesn’t make sense that it would be “mistakenly “ applied in a consistent pattern like that

Perhaps something was picked up in QC and they Watch was sent back for re-lume on the bezel. Maybe inconsistent on a couple of the numbers and small hash marks and the job was to redo all numbers and hash marks (so there was no notable difference) and somehow they’ve used green?
Hard to believe as you’d imagine they’d just bin the bezel and pop a new one on but maybe it’s someones job to re-lume bezels after QC (they are titanium and ceramic) The Pelagos uses chromalight I think and the other Tudor watches use green so maybe the QC repair dept are used to doing all the regular Tudors and the odd Pelagos has got green lume? |

Update: I talked to QC and Customer relations at Tudor directly on the phone. They confirm that the watch is unique. During the proces of filling the bezelring with lume, the markers and the numbers are done in separate phases. That's where something went "wrong".

Thanks for the confirmation. I sort of thought the numbers were done separately.
Its definitely cool, keep it as is. |
