Tudor Submariner 76100 “lollipop” restored
This watch fell in my lap locally, it was the ideal candidate for a restore/watch to wear. My current budget wouldn’t allow for much more, the irony is a Tudor Sub was on my short list of watches to buy. I would have never expected to find one in Beaumont TX.
The dial was missing most of the lume, the hands were refurbished w/Luminova pretty poorly and the insert looked incorrect. I sent it off to Kent Parks w/Everestwatchworks.com for a vintage style relume on the hands and dial, non glowing. I worked out a trade for an original dial that fell through so I stuck with my original plan and I am more than happy with the results. I sourced the correct 80’s insert with tritium pearl from a forum member. I will eventually buy a bracelet for it. I really appreciate the help from the guys that assisted with this project. Looks great! Mine says hi
That’d be so cool if Tudor reintroduced this model as the BB84 or BB Lollipop. |

I remember your thread and I'm eating my words saying to skip it. Looks amazing!
If you don't mind divulging how much did the restoration labor/parts cost? |

In your defense, even a watch like this when sold online is rarely priced right. I got it for the right price. The bezel was $500, I don’t want to publish Kent’s Prices but I will shoot you a PM. I think they are on his website. They are very fair. I know most of you won’t want to repair a dial but if you need a set of hands done try him out. It’s hard to capture how good they look in pictures. Thanks for the compliments guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Well done! Much, much better looking now, originality be damned! I had the hands on my blue 76100 matched because the lume had fallen out at some point during its past life. Never thought twice about it and makes a huge difference.

Tudor Submariner 76100 “lollipop” restored

I had a chance to buy a perfect original dial for $1200, but that would have significantly increased my investment in the piece. It’s not something I ever expect to sell so I figured why not. If I am going to spend $1200 on it I would like a band. I’m wearing it on my GMT’s 78360 and it feels great, looks great. |
