Does this sub look polished?

It’s supposedly unpolished. It looks good to me. What do you think? Thank you in advance.

Having only one picture to go by, it Looks very sharp. If polished it appears to be done very sparingly and I wouldn’t be concerned.

looks like no polish or very slightly polished from this photo, but we need also the side views to be sure.

Doesn't look like it to me...you should also post a pic of the clasp as this is another place where polishing usually shows.

X2 crown on the clasp is always a good tell

What's up with the polish anti polish fixation today, Rolex watches are designed to be polished at normal routine service every 5-10 years depending on the wearing environment. As long as any polish is done then by RSC or RSC approved independents then you would have around 50 years of wearing before you would really notice.

i agree. However with the amount of times these watches change hands these days most dealers polish them as how else can they be like new or excellent condition. I would worry about being the 8th person to own a Daytona C in 3 years.... but then again i dont see people complaining all that much because they can't tell if its a good polish

Looks sharp to me but harder to tell with the 6 digit cases due to no chamfers and the straight brushed finish on the lugs. The upside is a light polish shouldn't really affect the watch at all (unlike the 5 digit models where a poor job could erase the chamfers)

Below a picture of my own working tool watch SD,it was used and many times abused for many years underwater as a real working tool. And has been serviced and polished by 3 different RSC world wide, picture taken in Singapore after last service. This working tool has seen more use that todays mainly pampered watches will see in ten lifetimes.

If you ask me its not been refinished enough times. Those lugs are still obscenely large.

To answer your question. If its not new and unworn and it doesn't have a single hairline scratch or mark, then yes, its been refinished/rebrushed and the mirrored surfaces polished, just like every single pre owned watch sold by the vast majority of trusted sellers who advertise on this forum and practically every single gray market reseller in existence.

The only way to guarantee an unpolished example is to buy brand new and unworn.

Wow, that looks really good. Great to see RSC does a good job. I've seen some really poor polishing jobs on some watches where the chamfers are totally gone, but yours looks really sharp.

Beauty. Still looks perfect after 3 polishes.

This anti polishing mania is so stupid - especially on modern Rolex's.

I can't tell if it's polished or not, so for me, it really wouldn't matter.
