Although this is a very subjective judgment call, I fully concur with the majority opinions of those who said the 36mm is too small for your 7.5 inch wrist. IMHO the 114270 does not appear to be a good size watch for you. The 36mm Explorer would work much better for those with a 7 inch wrist or less. I tried both the 36mm and 39mm and I thought the 39mm worked better for me. I seem to recall a fellow with a larger wrist who bought a 36mm Explorer. This fellow said his wife asked him when did you start wearing ladies watches? He sold the 36mm and went with the 39mm and never looked back. I am not a traditionalist when it comes to the Explorer. Style and preferences aside, the 39mm is a superior watch over its predecessors and has a superior bracelet. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and while the 39mm Explorer may not be for everybody but it is certainly beautiful watch to me. That is the reason I wear that Explorer. Buy and wear the watch that suits your preference and your style! It is the choice for you and not for others. However, if I were you...and I am not you...I would go for the 214270 Mk1 or Mk2.

Your last photo tells me it’s perfect. 36 is a great size.

I don't think it looks too small. I think smaller watches generally look fine though, so I'm a little biased.
The general rule of thumb that I follow is that too small is better than too big! |

If you look at it from different side, 39mm would look too big on you.
I think 36mm look perfect, but you gotta try it on. |
