Tom Cruise Rolex?

Found this pic of Tom in a newspaper liftout this morning, he's promoting his new film ''Valkyrie''.

That looks like a Rolex on his wrist.

Thanks for posting, I got that magazine this morning in the cafe.

From my close inspection it appeared to be a Date-Just, with white dial and roman numerals.

I agree it was difficult to tell, but this was my thought.

Nice pickup & not a bad endorsement

Yeah, I got a little excited this morning too, I thought for about 3 seconds it was an Explorer 2, but then I though no, he would have a much more exspensive model on.

??? If he likes a watch, why wouldn't he buy/wear it? He is one of the few individuals in this world that doesn't have to wear an expensive watch to let it be known he's 'Made It' financially...I highly doubt he's going to impress anyone more (or less) with the watch he wears. God knows if I ever had as much $ as that guy I would still get as much satisfaction wearing my vintage Seiko divers as I do today.

P.S. Side note - I think that dude gets more and more looney by the year!

Yes, I suppose there's truth in that. The stars often go for the top of the range whatever, just because they can too.

I wouldn't trade my Explorer 2 for any other Rolex

Tom Cruise creeps me out. I find this a very interesting choice of watch for him to wear.

I am in clearwater florida so I see and deal with the scientologists on a daily basis..they own a significant portion of the waterfront and downtown area of clearwater...dont know what to make of them besides the fact that they seem happy and most have their shtuff together..so live and let live I imagine..but I do agree that they do have some strange beliefs...and I do know in depth some of those beliefs...most seem loosely based on a sci-fi novel as you would imagine given their founders accomplishments..

Indeed - to each his own, as far as pushing religion on others, that's not just the Scientologists doing that is it?

Anyway - it's not his religion that creeps me out, Travolta for instance I think is great. It's his acting and his behaviour in general.

Wow, when I posted these photos I was just excited about seeing Tom with a Rolex on. I didn't mean to start any religious discussions, or personal opinions of him.

I don't think it's an explorer 2, but I do think it's still a Rolex.

Vintage DJ, Non-SEL, without question.

I guess he normally wears pilot sorts of watches.

Interesting choice of watches. I'm sure he probably has a couple. Funny how the mention of him brings out unpleasantness in some people. He's made some bad choices in the past couple of years, but he's also been enough of a man to own up to his faults. His faith is his own and regardless of how many want to condemn him for following scientology, it has obviously worked for him. He's phenomenally successful, hard-working, focused and willing to take chances, in great shape with a nice family. He's also known to be very accessible and kind to his fans. I'm sure outside of media focus, he's a very nice person. But I reserve judgment on someone I haven't interacted with personally.

Looks like a Date. I bought one for my Dad. If you look at the dial closely it looks like this one.
