Rolex Datejust II Running Fast

Hello All,

Have been lurking for a few months and have read lots of posts but here’s my question for my very first Rolex.

My wife got me this Datejust II this past Christmas and she purchased it from an online retailer ( I believe Bob’s ) any way this was sold as unworn NIB and but the warranty card had been filled out but the watch itself had all tags still hanging and all the plastic still covering all the parts of the case and bracelet

Any way upon getting the watch I read the instructions and wound it 40 times and started wearing it and enjoying my first Rolex but from the first couple days of wearing I noticed it gains time and it’s been about 5 secs everyday , here is an example I took the watch off yesterday morning and wound it 40 turns until I felt some clicking and from my understanding that’s fully wound and then I set the time down to the second using a world clock app on my phone and this morning it was spot on but now that I have been wearing it all day it has slowly gained some time and currently it’s about 4 secs fast and it seems to gain about 4-5 secs everyday and by weeks end it’s like 35-40 secs fast so I know I read somewhere on here about COSC specs of -4 +6 per day so is that everyday ?

Anyway I tend to worry a lot sometimes over nothing but this timepiece is my very first quality one and I want it to be right
