Came out of Rolex AD and probably we were followed. Goods were in a bag. Motorbike with two guys passed by from behind and grabbed bag with goods.

That is awful to hear. I hope you manage to recover them.
Have the Police any insight? I would imagine this is not the first time it has happened there. Get a Police report and have Rolex record the serial numbers as being stolen.

This is tragic. I'm really sorry to read this. I hope it gets resolved somehow. At least you are safe and unharmed.
I think Rolex have a duty of care to supply watches within a safe environment. If there are thieves piranhas and vultures known to be hovering outside outside stores then they should stop selling in that area/city/country. |

What an awful experience. Does your travel insurance cover situations like this? If you paid with credit card you may also be protected against theft.

Sorry to hear that, what a nightmare - hope it is sorted.
Many years ago my grandfather taught me to pocket whatever is of value before leaving a jewelry store with a bag. |

No, not covered by insurance. Big compliment to the PALMA local Police. They made a very, very extensive report and promised to check all the cameras in the neighborhood were it happened. They took 3 hours time, got a translator and will look into with all their tools. Never thought that they care that much! Thank you Policia Local de Palma. I just can wait and hope. Thank u Forum!!!

Always be cautious and hold your bags tightly when walking out of luxury stores....Rolex in Spain - or Louis Vuitton in Italy...keep your head on a swivel always.

That's horrible! Sorry to hear that!
I've always been cautious with new purchases walking out of the AD. I keep the watch on my person, and always hop straight into a car leaving the AD to drop off the watch at home or at the hotel. |

So, so sorry. Do you have JM insurance? They cover you for items just purchased that you have yet had time to add to the policy. I’ll know better now than to consider visiting that AD for any purchase come June. |

Just take precautions. I don't see a reason here to avoid the AD. And pay with a credit card that offers theft protection for recent purchases.

Please check ALL pawn shops in the area.
The SPANISH police are now very hot on these thefts and will do their best ALSO get the AD to report to ROLEX Stolen Register A

that's probably a routine they do often ... check ppl going into the AD, walks out with bags they didn't have when they come in ... snatch them.
sorry to hear this happen, hopefully they find them ! |

I am sorry to hear of your robbery. The method of street crimes with scooters/motos has been rampant.
Hopefully the quick Police action can yield a positive result for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

The jewellers ,complete with armed security on the doors , is on a narrow, semi pedestrianised ,one -way street, I’ve never ,ever felt the need to be concerned patronising the shop, just goes to show.

I normally go into the shop with a cheap G-shock - then wear the Rolex and place the G-shock in the bag .. is feels safer on my wrist then hanging on a tiny cord..

Really sorry and I hope you recover them.
Whenever I go to buy/collect a watch I never walk out with dealer or branded bags on display. I take a gym bag or rucksack with me, put the box etc in it and wear the watch. Then I leave the place with eyes and ears wide open and jump straight into either a taxi or the London Underground. Some of the AD bags are so obvious. Take Wempe for example - their bags are bright deep red - its like shouting at thieves to "come get me". The AP ones have a massive logo on the outside too......really makes me nervous having them on full display as I walk around busy London. |
