Rolex bubble back help
All,
Friend of mine got this from his uncle. Looks to be a 2940 and serial number dates to 1944. It has FAB Suisse on the dial. Don’t see any examples with this dial and I wondered if you all have any experience with this one. Would you say it’s a Reference 2940? (I have yet to pop the back, but I will). I’ll have it serviced for my friend and give it back to him. Just looking for any experience or insight, and anything specific I could pass on to him about this piece. He said it was given to his uncle by someone who was a Rolex employee or dealer, during the 1940s. Thanks in advance!

Francesco, thank you! I’ll pass along your compliments to the owner. Do you often see “FAB SUISSE” printed on the dial?
