I'm thirsty!

hmm I just tried posting, but came up with database error, so if this comes up as a duplicate post, sorry!

I'm really itching to get a GMT II 'Pepsi'. Doesn't have to be brand spanking new--I gues M series is latest? Realistically, I'd like to spend no more than $4500...is this realistic for let's say as old as 5 years? Thanks!

I have definitely seen them at that price point. Good luck!

Look for a tritium dialed 16710...they can be found in the mid 3K range with B&P.

Is that an 'older' model?

Sorry, yes it's an older model or the current version GMT II. The only difference is the dial used tritium lume that is no longer available on the 16710, Rolex has gone to using Super Luminova. Here is a pic of mine.

You will definitely be able to find a good looking GMT II pepsi for that price point. If you really want an M series it may be a little harder to find since most people are charging a premium for them since most will have a different movement along with a different font on the dial. If your not quite sure what i'm talking about if you do a search you should be able to find it pretty easily as it is talked about on this forum rather often. If you had to have one of these, you probably would have to look at 5k+, but if this means nothing to you, older series can easily be found at the 4k range.

GMT is my first Rolex, i'm sure you will love it as well.

Doesn't have to be M series, but not looking for 'vintage' I guess something no more than 5 years old...I do see them in the for sale section time to time, so I will keep my eyes peeled...thanks!

The movement has a minor tweak, that's it. As far as the font, the M's do not have a different font, they have a variety on fonts with the II after GMT Master, the stick is the most common but there are 2 others that are less common.
