Vintage daytona

Hi,
we are tring to find a good Vintage Daytona, but it is really hard to find one. We don't have a great experience and an error can be very "painful"...

we gived up with a blue Daytona in December... Now I have the offer for a new one.
Can you please take a look at these photos and let me know your opinion.
After a check on several web resources, the dial looks to be not the right one. It looks that the "rolex..." is to high; am I wrong?
Instad movement and case look to be good, but I'm not really expert and my opinion is just looking several photos.
If it would be so, it would a good deal, due to I can substitute the wrong dial with a good one. It is not easy to find, but the price for this watch is pretty good and it would make sense to spend some time to find the right one.
Every feedback and opinion would be a good help to avoid terrible mistakes.

Thank you

Lilly & Alex

There are a few things that "aren't quite right" for q quick 20 second look.

The triplock crown....

The bezel for a 60's Chrono appears brand new compared to the rest of the watch.

The case looks off...is it an Oyster Doesn't look like it to me, but the dial says so ? It's hard to tell if it's been overpolished or chromed ???

I think that Daytona has been added to the dial and the hands are p[ointed rather than flat at the ends..

It could be a redone 6265 from the 70's... What numbers are on the case sides under the band ?

If you are going to buy a vintage Daytona buy the book 'Rolex Daytona a legend is born'. It's an excellent Cosmograph reference.
