Identify this Oyster Date

Can any expert here please identify this Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date? I believe the case is 35mm. I hope to know the model #, year and what value does it has? Thanks in advance!

If its 34mm and with a smooth bezel. Im going to guess a model 1500. The one you pictured is 1970s in style but it may be earlier with later service parts added. Only way to know for sure is to look between the lugs for the model # and the serial number.

On a strap, a basic 1500 retails in the $1500-1800USD range in good overall and working condition. You can find 1500's on a bracelet in the $2200-2400USD range. Sometimes less.

Thanks offrdmania! I think it's a 1500 as well but seems like it an earlier model as the dial indicated OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED CHRONOMETER without the Superlative usually in front of it.

there should be more than just "Registered Design" - there must be some numbers. The dial dates the watch to early 60s, so it should have a cal 1560 movement.

I agree it is early 60’s. Believe it or not they were 35mm at that time.

By 1967 timeframe the dial had
— DATE —
and this one doesn’t have the lateral lines.

The 1560 came out in 1965 IIRC and the date version was a 1565.

This one seems to be earlier and I will hazard the watch was a Canadian market model with a 1535 and same caliber was in the Canadian market Explorer-Date.
