It turned out to be a bad gasket that was replaced under warranty - mine was still under warranty and even got a 2 years extension.

Seems to be a defect with this model. I presume yours is out of warranty?
Do you know what gasket that failed?

Original post referenced the crown tube.

Will you enquire to AP about a proactive repair for your CE diver ?

I just had my FC diver serviced and it spent over a week in the water in the Caribbean. No issues at all.

Yes, this is the same watch. If one day of pool day dated in 2014, will cause such a defect, it will be quite obvious what the problem was. In the beginning of the post, what I was referring when I say I was not Swimming was recent usage before this issue turned up.

Hope it clarifies.

Yeah, certainly should not and like I mentioned above, I had my CF diver in pools/ocean for over a week and no issues. This was about a week after receiving back from APSC for service. I tend to think AP will take care of it since it's service appears to be documented. Keep us posted, photo below of mine while in the Caribbean.

How is this possible? As far as I know the ceramic diver has been discontinued for a while. Or you mean AP boutique in Taipei selling you a NOS?

ok so am i following?..

bought 2014-ish new from a boutique
pressure test 2016 (as the old warranty extension required a pressure test at year 2 to get an additional 1 year of warranty)
water in the case 2018, no warranty

FWIW a pressure test is recommended every year.

Watch was serviced by APSC. So far so good. Issue no longer there.

That’s good to hear. Did they cover it as faulty, or charge you? If so, what was the cost?
