Anyone here use a dremel to bring their brushed SS bracelets back up to snuff? The thought of it is pretty scary to me but I've seen that a few use it so I wanted to know some details. I use a scotchbrite for brushed SS and CapeCod for polished SS and 18kt gold, but the Dremel has peaked my curiosity

I have and it works fabulous..HOWEVER, I would caution anyone to make sure they start with the finest grade buffing wheel, use light pressure and go from there. A friend of mine bought a beat up Exp II and I helped him restore it to mint condition. We got out 98% of the scratches but I took my time to ensure the edges stayed sharp. Saves a lot of finger time if done right but going slow is the key. I also used a slow speed setting on the Dremel.

David, my Dremel doesn't really have the right brushes for SS did you buy them after market? I'm assuming I can get them at a home depot or something?

I only use a Dremel on polished surfaces with deep scratches. I do light polishing and brushed surfaces by hand - takes less than 10 minutes to do an entire watch and bring it up to a "nearly new" kind of look.
