Yup...I have a couple things already on order that will zap my budget, so this makes decisions easier.

Folks being disappointed are clearly not appreciating the history of a company that makes changes at a glacial pace. While some may complain, I say that is why they have so many iconic pieces. The world changes very fast, but the fact that the models stay around long enough and unchanged to be appreciated is part why they have been successful. I actually look down at my 16610 and appreciate it more as there is not a constant barrage of newer, better, faster what ever to chase after with Rolex.

Relieved no submariner updates - don't have to try to get a new movement, don't have to worry about a rose gold or platinum sub, and most importantly, no blue stainless model.

Also no black/red GMT to worry about for another year.

I too am relieved there are no new offerings from Rolex and Tudor that I just had to get. (I had other plans if no good offerings were presented).

Been looking at and researching the Tudor Pelagos of late.

After my doctor appointment this morning, I hoofed it over the the Ben Bridge at the local mall and was finally able to locate and try on a Pelagos.

It was a good fit on my 6.5" wrist; poor fit what I had feared would be an issue. The 1.97" lug-to-lug is no biggie - not much larger than my Explorer or Sub.

Anyway, they had both the blue ad black, but no LHD. My kindly, informative and "new" BB AD gal has ordered me the LHD model.

It should be here in about a week.

The new AD gal is very watch-oriented, and quite knowledgeable about many brands. She showed me her 34mm Aquaracer wtih mother of pearl and diamonds dial. What a gorgeous watch.

Store traffic was light at the time and I got her to go onto her computer and look at the Tudor BB P01. She was shocked at its appearance and called over the manager. She too was shocked but stated "I"'m sure we will sell a few of those just due to their quirky nature."

Tudor took 2 steps back ! Good grief how awful

Wondering how this will affect supply of current models ?-
If Rolex is smart they'd get watches flowing into AD's while the diminished "hangover" still hangs heavy - some potential buyers may wander to greener pastures

I honestly think the only potential watch I feel like I'd need to buy if released would be a blue SS Sub or white dial Explorer. So in a sense, I am relieved and content with waiting. I'm fortunate to have what I have now.

I hear you loud and clear! Got my Submariner a couple of weeks ago, and I don't see anything I like better! A good friend of mine has the GMT Pepsi BLRO, and I look at it every time we get together. Then I say that I am glad to have my Sub. How fortunate is that!

Honestly, there is a DD40 that I would love to own, but it is out of my league anyway.

And I do love the look of that new DJ36, with fluted bezel, updated dial with large baton markers, Jubilee bracelet and gorgeous black dial, with updated movement. That is actually my favorite Basel model so far this year.

I'm a happy guy!!

Echoing a few others sentiments - bought my 114060 a few weeks ago - relieved that it wasn't suddenly "outdated."

Mixed emotions... on one side - nothing here is going to make anyone give up his spot on the wait list for a BLRO/Daytona/CHNR... but also.. the lack of hot models does take a bit of wind out of the sails of the Seller's market... it's not like AD's can "opt out" - they will have to take some WG YM, and some TT Seadwellers... and good luck bundling any of those to a DD... if the grey gets them, they will have to sell at discount, and then the Whole "Rolex facade" starts to crack down a bit ...

no longer will speculators buy any piece of crap with a crown on it, thinking they can flip for a profit... I see this weak Baselworld as a first sign of a coming 'Market correction'...

no one will be motivated by FOMO to buy a TT seadweller...

the first chink in the Rolex Armour we've seen in years....

the resentful side (from being wait-listed everywhere) is happy to see it... the interesting part will be if I still want the watches when the hard to get model becomes easy to get...

I feel it’s a step to start pulling out of ss or leave very few ss options!
