Sold Daytona, Navi size enquiry

Hello TRF, I am requesting a size check for a navitimer - I know it's not a Rolex, but I trust you guys the most with these kind of questions.

I sold my daytonaC and 116520 due to financial reasons and am lusting another chronograph but am on a budget this time. My preference is a navitimer or zenith el primero 38.

Can i get your thoughts on whether you think this size is too large for me? Daytona sat perfectly on my wrist however another one is not possible at this time. Please let me know your thoughts

Kindest regards, Cloitus

If you ask an aviator, nothing is too big. If the lugs are hanging over the edge of your wrist it’s probably nudging the size limit. I have a 43mm Montbrillant Datora and it’s perfect. I tried a 48mm limited edition Breitling GMT and it looked silly on me.

I want to be clear, these images are not of me but I saw them when looking at GMT’s. You don’t want to look like you’re wearing a cheese platter. Good luck.

I have the 46 and it wears smaller (43-44). There is a 43 model as well which would likely suit you.

I actually just bought a 46mm Navitimer 01 today. I have 7 inch wrists.

I also have a 48/49mm Bentley 6.75 and the larger brother to the 46mm 01 Navitimer, the 48mm Navitimer GMT. I am selling both of these because they are too big although I have flat wrists and can pull both off. I think it's an illusion due to my Rolex GMT's being "small" to me.

In any event, the Navitimer 01 comes in the 43mm, the 46mm, and then the 48mm GMT.

I remember trying a 43mm on at the store and just thought it was too small right away....especially for a chronograph. These wear smaller than you think because it's all dial, the lugs are not big, and they curve downwards on the Navitimers.

Just for kicks, I compared my 48mm Navi with my 46mm and my Rolex GMT's today (which is 40mm). I don't have calipers....but the difference between the 46mm to the 48mm from lug to lug was the same distance as the difference lug to lug from the 40mm GMT to the 46mm Navi.

Thus, the Navis wear much smaller. I would bet the 43mm Navi lug to lug is, at most, the same as the Rolex GMT or probably smaller. Your issue is you have tiny wrists...6 inches is really really small.
