Your story vouches for how watches (rolexes specifically) make for an outstanding way to express a milestone in one's life. A child's impossible dream coming true. The beauty about rolexes (and porsches I may add), is that their appearance changes very little with upgrades, so the piece you end up getting once you're finally able to afford it, still looks very much like your childhood dream; only a lot more evolved and with better materials / technology.

Heck of a story! Beautiful reference as well. I’m the same age as you and picked up my first Rolex late last year. Was looking adding this reference, until the news from this year’s Basel.
I never thought I’d own a Rolex as I viewed it as being older man’s watch. Funny how taste can change so quickly. |
