Similar to what you did, selling the BLNR now would make a switch to the CHNR relatively painless.

The CHNR would be a great addition imho. The BLNR is a nice bit of leverage now (and who knows where it will go) and it certainly made sense for me, definitely helps in justifying the purchase.

On the contrary, like others say, there is nothing wrong with selling and buying another watch that you want. That's what we hobbyists do, it's part of the passion we have for watches. You didn't do it for profit....which is where the problem is.

Enjoy the new piece, it's a beauty for sure!

There's definitely a difference between buying a piece just to make a few bucks and buying pieces, wearing them, then trading up. I do the latter quite a lot these days and don't feel the least bit guilty. The never-ending search for the "perfect collection" is what makes this fun.

You probably have the MK2 bezel as individuals call it.

The blue should appear darker as well (in addition to the red). It's almost purple-ish on the original release.

I like the darker bezel. Congrats!

Definitely the nicer looking version. If they'd done this color originally there might never had been a SS version. Congratulations!!!

Congrats! You have a stunning timepiece in the BLRO. And far from being part of a flipping problem I think you’ve traded well in the current market climate. That’s how to do it.

The bezel is a Mk2 version.

I had to pay on top the BLNR- but given what I originally paid for the BLNR and the opportunity to get the piece I always wanted - one that is near impossible for me to get from an AD in the foreseeable future- that relatively small premium was too hard to pass on.

Do not feel guilty. What you are doing is fine. I got lucky and bought DSSD D-Blue at AD, so sold my SD43 as way to recover cash. I bought SD43 at premium and sold for same price, but had I been able to make more, I wouldn’t feel bad. I’d feel like I got some back if previous losses.

I don't feel what you did was in any way part of the flipper scheme. nor was my trading a 114060 twords a 116613lb.

Now, if you had picked up the blnr and sold it to a grey dealer for a lot of profit and then bought a pepsi at retail? That's a different ballgame.

I asked because now NIB BLNR is about the same as blro but I’m sure yours was worn so not nib. People want 15-17 now NIb for both models

Yeah I noticed that. Mine was early 2017 - so not quite the same; I did also speak to a bunch of the grey sellers and one thing to realize is that those listed prices are not typically realized- it would be interesting to be able to get that information as I suspect the negotiating room on the BLNR is substantially larger than than the BLRO- even though the prices are approaching parity.
Either way I have no regrets on timing or my purchase. I still consider this a win. I am not in this game for financial gain- only for the enjoyment of it.

I don’t think you are part of the problem, a collection and or test is supposed to change overtime as you mature and flipping is part of the process. Welcome to the club.

Thanks, I am happy with my decision, and in a state of horological bliss with this watch!

Yes, honestly I don’t know about the bezel difference - I have noticed the bezel colours change substantially in different lighting conditions but I couldn’t be fussed either way- I am happy.
All the best with your acquisition- I trust you will get the call soon.
