There has been a lot of noise lately. I'm starting to ignore most of it. Just enjoy what you have if nothing else.

If you’re new and trying to get one today I’d completely understand not being happy with the brand. I’m not a fan of the fact that I will probably never be able to get the new BLNR at retail, but I’m a fan of the two I have now.

I’m with you!! I still think it’s hard, if not impossible, to find a better quality watch in the 8k-10k price point.

Brand loyalty in the watch game is overrated. Rolex is a great company. PP, AP, VC, ALS, FPJ, Parmigiani, Tudor,Omega, GS etc. are all great in their own niches. Variety is spicier

Disappointed that Rolex doesn’t supply it’s ADs with popular watches to sell. Half filled cabinets at ADs? Why? If people will buy them, sell them.

I actually think Rolex is a decent value, if you are looking for a watch that is:

-tough
-comfortable
-accurate
-sporty
-value-holding
-automatic
-over-engineered

I hold my SubC as a good value for all the above reasons. The robustness, the lasting good looks of oyster steel without a polish, and its so comfortable. What watch would you hold up as being a competitor to the Sub? Omega has a couple, but they are not as comfortable and don't have the same quality bracelet and clasp. Grand Seiko? Seiko Marinemaster?

Agree. Not buying the hype on gmts. Sub is a classic and an icon.

I'm a fan of the product, not so much of the brand and its new strategy. I'm very disappointed with Rolex, not going to lie. Not because of this year's releases which are kind of lazy, but because of the AD treatment and the impossibility to get sports steel pieces. Now it's all about PM, TT and their classic models.

For a few days I didn't even feel like wearing my Rolex watches, that's how much I've come to resent the brand. I've even considered flipping what I've got and be done with them. I probably won't do it but it crossed my mind.

I'm still in TRF because I appreciate the banter and exchange of knowledge.

I'm at a point where Rolex has become a thing of the past. Great watches, great memories but nothing to look forward to. No future.

I've over spent on a lot of items in my life. Boats, Cars, Motorcycles, Houses, and 1 Rolex watch. In hind sight, I could have made better selections and enjoyed them as much or more for less cash.

When I hear someone say that Rolex failed at Baselworld I just assume that they've been watching too many YouTube videos.

Hard to find anything that delivers the package you get in the $4-7k range (preowned) compared to other options.

That said I enjoy the heritage, construction, and tool watch roots. Wish they would go back to less bling but that’s why they ramped up Tudor.

At this point I'm with you. I have three that I really enjoy in the collection and the only serious consideration outside the Rolex family is a Patek Aquanaut which is a long ways down the road.

Yup, this has been my 'mantra' for the last few years: I'm extremely thankful for what I have, and I'm completely and thoroughly enjoying each watch to the fullest.
