That is why I love Rolex, they honor his warranty and you will have a perfect watch. After this problem yoi will have a beautiful watch for your lifespan.

So true, I feel the OP is passing the buck, and the AD, was trying to help out.

The watch was damaged by the owner, and then stated it wasn't, I hope the AD reads this thread.

If I balls something up, I put my hands up and sort it out, if it costs, it's costs. Part of life, and move on.

It’s a poor intro to Rolex, but I have been wearing Rolex for 25 years and my parents for 40 and my brother for 25 as well. All told we owned 8-12 rolexes over the years, punished the hell out of them. I still do. Of all in my family, only two were ever even serviced, mine a 16610 after 17 years. My brother did service his after a freak accident resulting in the bracelet being mangled, but the watch intact other than large scuffs and scratches.

Once your bracelet is repaired, I am confident you will enjoy it and find it as reliable as I find mine.

The point is, you most likely damaged your own first clasp, which means it really shouldn't even be covered under warranty; the warranty covers defects in workmanship, not abuse by the owner. Despite that, your AD tried (albeit ineptly) to do you a solid, and in the wake of their inability to do it properly, is sending the watch on for warranty service - which you are technically not entitled to. And for that, you're complaining that you're not getting a new watch? And then you have the temerity to claim this community is not a nice place after some people here put two and two together and point it out to you? You're welcome to stay, but if this any indication of how you will comport yourself in the future, I won't be bothered if you choose to leave.

I belong to several on-line communities, this is probably the best. It is filled with well educated people and they know their stuff. You posted 'half of the story' in this thread that omitted key information. You essentially disrespected the community by misleading them and only owned up to it after your other post was found. Not a good way to make a first impression. Then you express your dissatisfaction with the community in the way they responded to your 'rest of the story.'
I also find the situation distasteful. For what essentially is an owner inflicted damage on the watch, OP blames the AD for going above and beyond to resolve a problem that they didn’t cause and the forum members for calling him out on it.

It seems the OP’s modus operandi is “blame the others first.”
