Service advice in NYC
Hello all, my Datejust has recently (over the past few weeks) started losing time noticeably, about two minutes a day for the past week, so I think it's probably time for a service. Forgive me if this has been covered before, but for some reason search is failing me this time. I'm in NYC, and I feel like there have been multiple lukewarm or not good reviews of Rolex NYC service center, but can't find reasons why, and also can't find any recommendations for watchmakers with parts accounts.
Any recommendations would be appreciated, thanks. Chris Sent from my SM-G928T using Tapatalk |

RSC Texas highly recommended! Spend the $35ish and have it shipped to them. They will take care of you.

I have used the New York RSC several times and found them to be outstanding.

I have also used the NYC RSC for service. I also used them recently to size my OF. All with excellent results. A lot of the negativity comes from RSC making you jump through hoops for warranty work.
My suggestion, if you're in NYC, use the NYC RSC. If, and thats a big if, anything they do is not to your liking, they will make it right.

If I lived in NYC and had the ability to drop the watch off in person at the RSC for service, that is what I would do.

Thanks all. I guess I'll be dropping it off there on Monday. Have a great weekend.

In case you haven’t been there, enter building on 53rd just east of 5th, check in with security, then to 5th floor.

What is the address for the RSC NY?
Also if I bought a watch from a grey dealer would I be able to there and check if it's authentic? May sound stupid but may have no other choice than buy from a grey if I am not willing to buy more than 1 watch for the forseeable future. |

I found the NY operation quite nice. Even though technically I was supposed to go upstairs for resizing, the boutique's serviceperson did a quick resizing of an oyster bracelet when I needed a quick link added near work. Even tolerated my sweaty post-workout self in the midst of the usual stream of HNW tourists shopping for the showroom's PM varieties.
