Does anyone have any experience with Steinhausen watch winders?

Does anyone have any experience with Steinhausen watch winders? They seem relatively inexpensive, are they decent?

Thanks.

I've got one of the single watch type. It's made out of pretty solid wood, with a cherry finish and I've run it constantly for about the last year without any problems.

I know you can get far more complicated winders but this does all I need it to and looks pretty good in my study.

I have 2 of the same cherry finish single winders and they have been great. No problems at all and they do have several program choices, which is nice. I think they are a very good value for the money and I would definately buy another one. I've had mine for about a year also.

Cheap, looks nice and works fine for me for some time now. I don't actually run it anymore as I narrowed my collection but it ran fine for over a year. You can get them on ebay for really cheap too. I got a two head one that handles two watches a head figuring if one motor quit there would be the second to use. Craftsmanship isn't so nice looking closely but I don't care about it, just sits in the bedroom.

Have the 4 winder one, probably 4 years old now and still going fine. Do it.

I'm glad to see that "you all" got your "steinhausen watch winder" I'm still waiting 10 months and five emails ago. They responded to tell me it's in "back order" and I haven't heard from them.

This thread is truly amazing because around the different forums, the Steinhausen winder is usually the one with the worst record in terms of performance. Reports have been mostly about the under-powered motor not being able to rotate the relatively heavy watches and resulting burn-out..

I'm glad to hear that it has more success than sometimes we are led to believe..

I've had the four-head winder for four plus years now and still doing it's job!

I must admit as an Orbita owner that they are very attractive.

These sound better than I expected.
