How much I love my GV!

You know this is the first watch that i have dinged dented and scratched within the first two weeks of having it.. all my other watches i have always tried to be very very easy on them, but i love having this milgauss as my beater, there is nothing to scratch that cannot be polished out like inserts or thin steel clasps ect... everything is solid and built to last.. and let me tell you, this baby's green crystal looks too sweet in the natural sunlight.. I can many looks and compliments on this watch.. Yes it hurts not to have a date, but I like the simplicity of this watch and the unusual style being this watch does not fallow all of rolexs traditional patterns.. I also have been into a few AD's that have all had a list longer than my... well its long.
I don't think the watch is very dressy, I think it is sporty and really it could be dressed up or down.. but i have my DDii for the more dressy occasion.
Last but not least the clasp is amazing.. I love the way the rolex crown is not stamped into the clasp which can easily be worn away after a couple polishes... this crown is heavy duty.. The standard milgauss is nice, but if not for the green crystal this watch would need a date or something extra, but because of the green, that truly makes for a one of a kind unique watch and these crystals cannot be easy to make unlike the green inserts on the LV subs..

well as with everything it seems to be longer in the summer then in the winter.. they will sell out again.. damand will even out with the GV's to about the same as a SS daytona I seem to think.. SSdaytona is more $$ but I think the features of the gv are alittle more special and outta the norm IMO, so it will all balance out.. if these crystals are hard for rolex to make, then i do not see them wanting to make them forever inless they are easy to make with a drop of green food coloring.

The Milgauss is very nice, I enjoy mine. I'm suprised at how the price on the used market has fallen so low.

Yes the GV is a very alluring watch in many respects.

Rolex did hit upon a winner with the GV, that is for sure.
