They had to. They released 72 watches at Basel this year. They are probably exhausted. LOL

Welcome to the internet.. trade shows are a thing of the past. The internet provides a platform for these companies to release new products and get greater exposure. Spending their money on internet advertising instead of trade shows is a smart move IMHO.

They have plans to release new watches throughout the year.

gotta disagree, watches to me require a certain 'fondle factor'. No internet discussion will ever top that, there must be room and $$ for both ......

Trade shows are pre social media era. If one of the big boy watch companies releases an amazing watch it will get tons of press between all the various blogs and podcasts.

They stated it will only be for the one year because new show dates don't jive well with their own timetables for product releases, but we'll see.
