Not much point of having a incorrect date or day on any watch which should be the owners common sense.

That defeats the purpose of having those complications!

It is imperative for me to have the date set correctly. My father, who is semi-retired, has taken a bit more of a lax approach to it in his autumn years. His current Rolex (a plat. YM) sometimes has the date incorrect. He said he knows what day of the week it is & has bills on auto-pay. Good for him to get to a point in life to be able to stop white-knuckling it.

Haven't you heard about the people who wear a Rolex as jewelry and don't even set the time?

i have the same watch and definitely wouldnt be walking around with date saying february 28th on april 19th.
what's the point of you having that watch then? this is similar to when i see people who have watches that aren't even running and have the complete wrong time on it and they wear it as a jewelry piece. |

I knew a few guys who own a rolex who wear it as purely an expensive accessory to show people around them they have money. Half the time their watches are not set correctly.
They don't care about watches. It's purely to scream look at me. They aren't watch guys. It's why Rolex tends to get a bad name amongst some watch lovers outside this forum. It's the go to expensive brand for the average person who doesn't know or care about watches.

I prefer to wear watches without the extra complications because its a pain to set every time I put on a new watch. If I had one DD that I wore all the time it would be different. I also very rarely wear my more valuable watches. It's why I often go with my 16520, Omega Speedmaster or Exp I.

Incorrectly set Rolex.. must be fake! That’s what I think and am sure I am not alone. If it is the 19th and date shows 28 - fake!

These comments are brutal lol. I will set it from now on, it is pain in the butt to set it and wear it for the day. I usually don't wear one watch longer then 2 days.

I keep my automatic watches on winders so that I don't have this dilemma. BUT, when there's a month with 30 days in it, I don't change 24 watches on the 1st of the next month. I wait until the next time I wear the watch and then change the date.
But, as others have said, what's the point of having an annual calendar complication that allows you to only change the date once per year and..... not changing the date! |

Get a winder. I wear mine on weekends almost exclusively but I’ve only set it twice: 3/1/2018 and 3/1/2019

I will gladly wear it for you the other days of the month. I'll make sure it is the right date and time when you need it for the 2 days.

Your watch, your time, so up to you.. there are probably lots of forum members who wouldn’t set the date just for s day or two either - they just couldn’t be bothered to reply.

Love the Sky Dweller, but I change watches too often to enjoy it.
I prefer my Chronographs without a date and my other watches with date only. I’m pretty old school I wish the Daytona was still manual wind. |
