Anyone familiar with Sarda Besancon chronograph?

I was walking down the streets in Paris and walked by a vintage watch shop. Fell in love with this Sarda Chronograph from the 1950s.

They wanted 2500 euros. I have not been able to find it anywhere.

Anyone familiar with the brand and if this is a fair price?

If ever needed, I'd imagine finding parts would be difficult, to say the least.

Sometimes these older Chronographs have common movements inside and sourcing parts isn’t a big deal, gotta look inside or track down some good info on the movement to know.

Yeah, I agree, a lot of these chronographs might as well have said "Your Name Here" on the dial

I had one from this era, and it was signed "Postala" on the dial. I researched the company, and I guess it produced equipment and machines that metered postage back in the day. Mine had a cool Landeron movement with column-wheel control and a 45-minute register for the chronograph (don't recall the exact caliber number).

Any watchmaker who works with these old chronographs will know where to get components (case and caliber).

I ended up buying a Heuer chronograph from the 1940s.

Looks pretty sweet.
