16610LV or 116520c - Opinions pls?

Hello everyone, Id like your opinion on a possible trade Ive been very much thinking about...

I have a BNIB 16610LV (stickered) I purchased in 2007. Ive had my eyes set on a daytona for a very long time, 116520 would be wonderful.

Do you think this would be a fair trade, same condition on each watch? BNIB for BNIB?

I currently have a 16600 as my daily. thanks everyone in advance, Id like to hear what you all think.

also, Ive never sold any of my watches (or traded away) so this would be a first.

Wow, that's an interesting trade. A kermit BNIB for a SS Daytona.

I have to agree with you here, that 116520 is my ideal watch. Did someone offer you this trade straight across?

If they're both BNIB I would make that trade, but that's just me, personally. Look at the reality, your Kermit is a fantastic looking watch that has sat stickered for 12 years!

You'd wear the Daytona, right?

Even if we're not talking from an investment standpoint and purely from desire, you actually want the Daytona. To me this is an easy trade.

I have both. Very different watches, I like them equally but the LV gets more wrist time. The Daytona is more delicate.

I'd keep the LV for sure and keep it NOS. A NOS LV has gone up 3x or more vs. a NOS Daytona has gone up maybe 50%.

It sounds like a good opportunity to acquire a Daytona at relative ease. You say you'd wear the Daytona so that’s a good sign.

You didn’t wear the LV. That’s not a good sign. If you’d like to continue not wearing the LV, it is likely to go up in value over the long term. Holding could get you more. Somehow. Sometime.

The real question here: is it better to wear a Daytona than to not wear a LV?

Daytona

Not for me. I’ll keep the LV BNIB and buy a Daytona to wear.

Interesting trade but I would still keep the NOS LV stashed away.

...

Get your reference numbers straight. Best to be precise when talking about such a trade.

Assuming you are taking about 116520, rolex first in house Daytona, Personally it is my least favorite and I would absolutely stick with the LV.

If you are talking about a zenith or a Daytona C, that is another conversation.
