Tried one yesterday.... beautiful!! AD would not discount a penny! (14,700) (not even for 4 time repeat customer) My question is: Would there be ( or should there be) any price difference between a "J" SERIES or "K" SERIES? I've seen both series listed as 14700 BNIB. Is "J" The first series of this model? If so, would it be better to pick up the "K"? Are there any differences between the series? Thanks for any knowledge you pass along....

I think "I" might be the first series, but I could be wrong. Production numbers seem to be different for each series. Not sure what else is different.

I've got my eye on one as well, but haven't asked what kind of discount I could get as I'm not ready to buy. There are some great pre-owned deals out there though.

Peter is right. I is the first. No difference between I-K.

Yeah, used, everything has slowly been coming down by about 10-15% lately, the 26Ks, 233s, 249s, etc.

In the same boats as you man. I tried the 233 on at the BH Boutique last week and instantly feel in love. I think with the slower economy and the release of the 312/320 we will definitly see AD's discounting the 233 this year, but probably no more than 10%, 15% max.

It will be interesting to see what happens to the 233 and 270. I would suspect that the numbers will be decreased in the L series. I am not overly excited about the new 3 day movement. The GMT feature is lacking compared to the 233 or 270 since their is no indicator or scale to determine am or pm.

I thought the same thing. I'm ok with the 3 day movement, but the lack of an AM/PM.

My ultimate would still be a combo of both.

An 8-10 day manual, sammy, no GMT, no date............
Oh yeah, with the super dome........ *sigh* I can dream can't I?
I can only dream.

The 233 and 270 are safe IMHO. Different than the others. Especially the 233.

It's a great watch and was with out a doubt one of my grail pieces and I am happy to have it. I will not be buying a 233 soon but I do intend on getting one by years end. I too would rather have the AP ROO over the 233, but now that I have the AP, I have set my eyes elsewhere

TR,

We are coming for you next!!!!!

Seriously though, it seems that many Paneristis make the jump over to AP at some point. They have many similarities, and if you can afford to own both, you should. I want to make sure you will soon
