Oyster bracelet

good evening , I have a 2009 two-tone submariner which I would like to have serviced that I had originally purchased brand new in tournoe. my question is if I would like to purchase a new bracelet because mine is a bit stretched as I do wear my watch every day and I have never had it serviced in 10 years would they give me credit for my current bracelet and how much would it be?

It would be a whole lot cheaper to have your existing bracelet refurbished. For about $250-300 it will come back to you and essentially look and feel brand new. Rolliworks in San Francisco is a safe bet for a rebuild. It will only take them a couple weeks to complete.

I mean i would personally prefer to purchase a new one as i do miss the feeling; i recall when im in the operating room I really do miss that farm feeling as a pose to the loose and saggy links as i have now.

I’d recommend you send the head only to Rolex for service and get a quote for a new bracelet with the service.

They would take your bracelet in trade for a new one. You won't like the price though. Figure around 5K or so maybe a bit more. Much cheaper to have your original restored

Yes! Not cheap. Much more logical to have your current bracelet restored. There is a guy on the forum here out in S.F. that can restore your bracelet. For hundreds instead of thousands

My Oyster bracelet cost me about $1k a year ago. But that was steel only and the non flip lock type stamped clasp. That was on an exchange basis.

Ok, in that case 5k is quite possible I guess. Apologies for bad reading. Thanks

If it is that much I guess the OP should restore it if possible. Sinking 5k into that does not seem cost effective.

Send the complete watch to Rolliworks, service and bracelet repair.

Or send head to RSC and bracelet alone to Rolliworks.

May be the best option to recreate the feeling of a new watch is to sell yout sub and buy a new one. Do not be a lot of more money.

Not as bad as some of the other estimates in this thread. Can I see a pic of the bracelet? I want to know what mine will look like in 10 years.

I have a question regards to the bracelet. I#m in the process of getting a Rolex DJ 36mm and I never liked the steel bracelet's as I prefer to swap the bracelet with a leather one! So my questions are:

1. Can I sell the steel bracelet? I will use the DJ on a leather strap from day 1.

2. What problems could arise if I sell the steel bracelet and then after 10 years, send my watch for service at Rolex?

My 2014 BLNR bracelet was rock solid when new, but first time in years I checked and is now experiencing slight droop. Man, is it comfortable.

That is not even close to being worn out. When you see scalloping of the gold center links and the pins are visible, then it is worn. I see no need to spend 2K+ for a new bracelet to replace that.
