Got the call from RSC yesterday

That my 1956 DJ was ready for collection above a month ahead of schedule so I wheel-spun off the drive & drove down to Bexley to collect, wow its awesome, looks as bright as a brand new penny, photo certainly doesn't do it justice.

Met the guy that actually serviced the watch, who said that it such a rarity & thanking me for the privilege of working on it !!! I felt kind of odd, sort of humble yet proud, you guys will know what I mean

So pleased to have it back, hopefully I can take a few better pics over the next week or so to share with my pals here on TRF

Have a great weekend everyone

Great looking watch and great service from Bexley always found very good with vintage Rolex. Its a pity that sometimes Rolex USA would show the same respect to there old timers accross the pond.May your DJ tick and keep good time for another 50 odd years
and all without the aid of any parachrome spring.

Wow!

Everything about your 1956 DateJust is to love !

Great bezel, alternating bevel-edged flats with machined recesses. Subtle design.

One might see the dark face in a new light. Charcoal with a black outer band?

Definitely gives me more to consider in my decisions.

Amazing stuff, Chris.....congrats!!

What I just noticed on your watch is that the word ROLEX seems to be embossed rather than printed on the dial. If it's embossed then I'm very impressed.

Why can't all new models have the name embossed rather than printed?

JJ

1956, my birth year. Maybe I should ask RSC to give me the once over

Looks great! You guys are so lucky to have RSC's with such sincerity and willingness to work with people who have vintage watches.
