Anyone Already Own GMT Pepsi and Want New Batman?

Hi everyone, I'm new to TRF, but wanted to ask the vets a question. I have not been fortunate enough to get the call for the high demand SS GMTs except the LN. I wanted to know if anyone already owns the BLRO and are on the waitlist for the new BLNR?

I like both watches and I'm on the "waitlist" for both right now, but I'm wondering if they are too similar to own both? I love my LN, but would probably part ways with it if I got the call for the BLRO or BLNR.

I think the old Batman or LN with oyster is a better compliment to the blro on jubilee.

I sold my BLNR to get the BLRO. The only thing that ever “bothered “ me about the BLNR were the PCLs. I would have preferred the sportier look of brushed centre links with that bezel colour scheme. Aesthetically the new BLNR is not an improvement on the last version in this regard. The BLRO seems to belong on the jubilee- plus it was on it first.

Ive got a blro and an oyster blnr....as ungrateful as it sounds i think both are very over hyped and to be honest the LN is way classier...ive had 5 of them...every time i sell one thinking i wanted something so much more interesting i end up lusting after its simple sporty elegance....youll miss it when the novelty of a splash of colour wears off.... at the moment my go to watch every day seems to be my sub LN

You may be right. I really like the LN esp with the Oyster bracelet.

Btw, would you mind introducing me to your AD?

Not me. BLNR never did it for me. The blue and the black just don’t compliment each other imo. Pepsi is pure cool.

Nope, never liked the BLNR, turned down multiple offers from ADs throughout the years. I'd much rather have a 116710LN or a plain jane datejust 36 than a BLNR.

I would not wear the BLNR if it was given to me, the BLRO on jubilee now that's a watch

I have Pepsi and the “old” Batman, with no interest what so ever in the new Batman!

I think a Pepsi jubilee and Batman oyster is a good mix.

Can swap the brackets too!

I owned the BLNR for a short period in 2016 and I just never bonded with it.

Now the Pepsi ... that's another story

I have the BLRO and i'm first on the list for new BLNR which should land shortly. Never picked up/realy liked the old BLNR but i do like the jubilee on the BLRO so got my name on the list once it was released.

Waiting for the new BLNR and a black Daytona and im done (12 Rolex). Maybe cash out and swap a bunch for Patek (dress) and Lange. Kind of in a none-Rolex fase:)

I’m starting to come to that conclusion. I think two Jubilees might be the issue rather than the watch. However you are laying down hard earned on one extra colour.

Have owned the BLNR in the past....beautiful watch, while the blue/black insert is nice, it just blended a bit too much for me. Just was dark most of the time, (IMO) so I’d choose the LN / BLRO combo if I were going to have both SS GMT’s. For me the blue/red bezel insert is an outstanding SS or WG version of the GMT. If I were to pair another GMT to go with the BLRO, it’d be YG or TT

Agreed. I have both and think they complement each other very well.

While I think the Jubilee looks pretty good on the BLNR, I think it looks better on the Pepsi. Both pieces are sufficiently distinct to have both in the collection with the bracelet and bezel difference. I'm not sure I would be able to justify the new BLNR if I only owned the BLRO.

This is a tough call. Still not sure what I would actually do if I got the call for both (new BLNR & BLRO). I guess it would be good problem to have lol.

Majority of guys seem to say they would go with the old BLNR or LN on Oyster bracelet and BLRO. I checked all ADs in my local market and they will not receive any new inventory of the old BLNR.

I think the BLNR is best suited for the oyster bracelet. I happen to like the PCLs. Will be curious to see what the new Batman looks like but I have the BLRO so will skip on the new model.

I can see why the BLNR has such a following, I can, but my choice of the two when it came to decision time was the LN. I just couldn’t find the love for the Batman’s Bezel colour combo, but thats probably because I spent years wearing the 5 digits in Pepsi, Coke and LN before the ceramics even appeared. The BLNR seemed like such a drastic departure from the traditional GMT colours that to my eyes it just looked all wrong, and I still see it that way. That’s not to say it isn’t a great watch though but I really can’t understand the madness behind the prices it commands outside of the AD’s. That really is hype to the extreme.

Have the Pepsi, not really a fan of the Batman. Colors do not work for me.

I have the original BLNR and am eagerly waiting for a BLRO. I have no interest in swapping out my current BLNR for the new one.
