Need help finding the correct Bezel for a 1959 6536-1 Submariner
The watchmaker quoted me at $15,000 for the correct time period bezel. I have the watch being serviced right now without the bezel. The crystal and crown and stem are being replaced/ added. I'd like to get a feel for the value of the watch with a new crystal and serviced movement with a new crown, minus the bezel. Or if someone can just tell me which bezel is correct and it isnt quite 15k I might swing that. Or would it be worth it just to sell as is once serviced. Or if i find out the correct bezel should I buy a reproduction just so it's at least a complete piece? Thanks.

Looks like the rest of the bezel assembly is in place so it's only an insert you are looking for in that area.

Cool piece! Was that on eBay a week or two ago?

not sure if that dial is 1959... in any case i would just polywatch the crystal and sell it as is. Case looks great. Don't bother with service. If original, a collector that wants that will take the time to source the correct parts and have serviced.
